Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with MHA MacIntyre Hudson, are delighted to offer you an information session on Customs Duty and International Trade.

The uncertainties over Brexit and how it will impact UK businesses have been well publicised. There are many thousands of UK businesses that trade with EU customers and suppliers but have never had to complete customs declarations. Add to that, businesses which want to expand into the EU and the rest of the world, buying or selling, and there are a lot of businesses who would benefit from considering how to get the best out of Brexit.

There are many opportunities and your business needs to be ready and prepared to make the most of them whilst identifying and avoiding the potential risks. Our seminar, in conjunction with accountants MHA MacIntyre Hudson, will help you identify what you can be doing now in order to prepare for the forthcoming changes to how the UK does business with the rest of the world.

Come and hear from:

Lucy SutcliffeSenior Customs Duty Manager, MHA MacIntyre Hudson
(A senior strategy advisor role with HM Revenue & Customs before joining MHA MacIntyre Hudson earlier this year)
Lucy will talk about utilising the existing customs regimes, which if implemented now and under the correct circumstances, may be of real and immediate value to assist companies to preserve their business position and consider potential new opportunities in emerging markets.  She will also discuss how the Customs trade and Customs international trade environments may be influenced by the potential Brexit scenarios.

Sue RathmellVAT Director, MHA MacIntyre Hudson
(More than 25 years’ experience in VAT with HMRC, accounting firms and most recently with Saga plc)
Sue will discuss how businesses can approach Brexit to identify risks and make the most of opportunities for them by reviewing their supply chain and current trading arrangements.

Tudor Price, Deputy Chief Executive, Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce
(Responsible for business support and international trade)

Tudor will outline to attendees the international opportunities and support available to Kent businesses through the British Chamber of Commerce, National and Local Government.
