Learn the concepts of virtual production (VP) and how this can be applied to your business with On-Set Facilities during a two-day hands-on production lab at the Hi3 Network hub in Maidstone.

We will focus on real-time compositing with Simulcam: live-action filmmaking integrating and interacting with digital assets and environments in real-time. With the intention of helping to democratise virtual production, we will be using a green screen and camera tracking to understand the principles of real-time production without or before working with an LED wall.

Creating virtual scenes in game engines creates a shift of focus from post-production to pre-production. Traditional use of green screen technology allows for the integration of VFX and environments in post-production, where the use of green screen and a camera tracking system allows digital environments and assets to be visible in-camera, so you see the live footage and digital assets while filming.
