Hi3 Network: Volumetric Capture Lab is a two-day cohort for small businesses and freelancers who are looking to explore VolCap technology.

The event will take place in our purpose built Research and Development studio within Maidstone Studios, making use of our co-work lounge workstations and our R&D studio space.

Attendees will explore the capture-to-asset pipelines associated with volumetric capture by using our in-studio sensors and software to create their own assets.

This lab will be beneficial to businesses, sole traders and freelancers of all levels interested in creating photorealistic content for apps and/or AR experiences.

We’ll contextualise this technology, looking across the creative tech sphere of motion capture, virtual production and AR to demonstrate how volumetric capture can complement or enhance existing practices.

Different hardware and software solutions will be presented, providing attendees with an idea of the high-end vs the open-source options available for the capture of people and place.

At the end of the two-day lab, attendees will be able to have a 1:2:1 meeting with the Hi3 Network team to develop on-going longer term collaborative work to help them research and develop new products or services for their creative practice.
