Ignition Business Start Up Course

This programme consists of three one-day workshops spread over 3 weeks.

(1 day a week, 9.30am till 2pm – Thursdays – 6th February, 13th February, 20th February)

This comprehensive programme is an essential starting point for anyone looking to run their own business. Delivered as a small group session with like-minded people, attendees will benefit from a series of intensive workshops that will cover the following topics:

Workshop 1 – The Plan

Test your business idea, develop your market research, establish proof of concept, understand the elements of a business plan, assess and source your funding requirements. Optional 1:1’s in the afternoon.

Workshop 2 – Making the Sale

Build a brand, write a press release, understand your sales processes, develop customer contacts, utilise social media, identify your routes to market. How to sell? and to whom? Optional 1:1’s in the afternoon.

Workshop 3 – Money Management

Pricing, planning your cash flow, knowing your tax and VAT requirements, sensible easy to follow bookkeeping, funding and getting paid. Removing the barriers to start up, where to find further help and support, press package and PR, writing a business plan. Optional 1:1’s in the afternoon.

Each workshop includes factsheets, local supplier benefits, free web resources, a PR package, and optional extra one to one support.

(Cost £60 Inc VAT for non-residents of Canterbury District).

As numbers are very small and the course highly subsidised any non-attendance on a booked place will be charged at £20 per day.  If you need to cancel your place please do so at least 3 days before it starts.
