NetZero Networking is a new initiative that aims to connect socially and environmentally minded leaders from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Kent through active, outdoor, sustainable events.

This early morning cycle ride will enable you to get some fresh air and exercise, and meet and chat with like-minded business leaders whilst enjoying the lovely Kent countryside.

You don’t have to be super fit or an expert cyclist to join us.

But you will need a reasonable level of fitness and basic bike handling skills.

Itinerary:

7.30 am Meet at Macknade, Introductions and Bike/Kit check

7.45 am Depart for our cycle ride

8.45 – 9.15 am Return to Macknade for a complimentary coffee and the chance to carry on the conversation

A sustainable/vegan breakfast, pastries and cakes will be available to order (at an additional cost).

What you will need:

  • A roadworthy bike – any type
  • A cycling helmet (Recommended – not compulsory)
  • Clothing – if you have cycling kit – that’s fine. If you don’t, we recommend wearing close-fitting, comfortable clothes suitable for the weather (check the forecast before leaving home). Eye protection, gloves and sensible footwear are also recommended.
  • Please ensure you have eaten before the ride unless you are used to exercising on an empty stomach.
  • Please also bring a drink and a snack.

Distance – 8 – 12 miles. We’ll be riding at a leisurely pace so that everyone can keep up – we won’t leave anyone behind.

Parking – Free parking is available at Macknade, Faversham. However, please travel as sustainably as you can. Faversham train station is a 5-minute cycle ride from Macknade.

Complimentary coffee is kindly provided by Macknade.
