Join Ian Seeley of Ellisons Solicitors on 23^rd March to learn about a range of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques that you could use to help resolve construction disputes quickly and cost-effectively.

Hear Ian’s overview of the statutory adjudication procedure, which is available for most construction disputes; and listen as Ian outlines some of the other popular alternatives, including mediation, expert determination and director-level review procedures.

If time allows, Ian will outline some examples of each option from his practice in this field over the last 14 years.

Learning outcomes/take-aways:

• Greater understanding of the statutory adjudication process, including its advantages and potential pitfalls.
• Knowledge of other alternatives to traditional court proceedings or arbitration.
• Ability to consider the pros and cons of dispute resolution clauses set out in construction contracts presented to you by an employer; and how those clauses might be improved for your benefit.
