The Kent Construction Focus Group (KCFG) is a one-stop-shop for local businesses to discuss the future of Kent development, giving companies access to local knowledge, expertise and contracts. KCFG promotes the future role of Kent land development and construction businesses in the growth and development of Kent and its environment.

This month’s guest speaker:

Roland Cooper, Considine

Roland Cooper BEng CEng MICE IMAPS – Director of Considine (Civil & Structural Engineers), KMEP Board Member, Business Advisory Board Member, Chair of SIAB at Canterbury Christ Church University, Enterprise Advisor to two schools, enthusiastic skier and wayward golfer

Natural England first issued advice in June 2020 which effectively stopped new development in much of the region – a hit of some 8% of regional economic output! That advice has since evolved as have the local authority responses to it. This presentation will provide an update on the advice; look at ways forward to develop within the confines of the advice today; thoughts on where it will go in the future and look at longer term initiatives that the region must embrace to provide resilience against water usage and water quality issues to keep Kent moving forward!

Hosted by members of the KCFG committee, Cheryl Causebrook and Ella Brocklebank.

Enjoy a Full English Breakfast at the Village Hotel Club, served from 7.30am with an anticipated finish of 9.30am.

As a Non-KCFG Member, you may attend this event twice before being required to become a Member. For any enquiries, please email Events@kentinvictachamber.co.uk
