Dr Hadfield joined CCCU in September 2013, after enjoying work in Brussels at the VUB and the IES. She was awarded a second Jean Monnet Chair in European Foreign Affairs in August 2014 for her 3-year programme of cutting edge teaching, learning, research and debate at Canterbury Christ Church University. In addition to founding the Energy and Governance Group at CCCU, Amelia was also recently made a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Dr Hadfield will address the four issues most likely to impact SMEs in Kent & Medway:
- The terms of trade between the EU and UK
- Future of business & trade with non-EU countries, and the concept of ‘global Britain’ in commerce terms;
- Changes to rules, standards, regulations as a result of the anticipated Great Repeal Bill;
- Changes to funding arrangements in key sectors.
